About this game

Geometry Dash Scratch refers to a fan-made recreation of the classic Geometry Dash formula using Scratch, the visual programming platform. The well-known Griffpatch project brings familiar cube jumps and rhythm obstacles into a lightweight browser experience.

The recreation is associated with early Geometry Dash-inspired stages such as Stereo Madness, Back on Track and Polargeist. It is a community project, not an official version from RobTop Games, and does not include the complete feature set of the original release.

Controls

The cube moves forward automatically. Click or press Space to jump over spikes and gaps; in sections that switch to a ship, holding raises the craft and releasing lets it fall. Learn when the controls change rather than continuing to tap as if every section were a cube.

Gameplay and features

Scratch demonstrates how much of a rhythm platformer can be built around simple input and careful level design. Recreated graphics, moving backgrounds and music help make the early stages recognisable.

Because Scratch projects can have different versions and forks, the features available in a hosted copy may not exactly match the original creator's project.

Playing tips

  • Start with Stereo Madness-style patterns before moving to more complicated stages.
  • Hold the input only when a repeated jump or flight section calls for it.
  • Use the music to remember the order of obstacles rather than guessing each time.
  • If the browser version behaves differently, adjust to its actual timing instead of assuming it matches the paid game.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is associated with the famous Scratch recreation?

Griffpatch is widely known for a Geometry Dash recreation made on the Scratch platform.

How do I find a reliable takeoff point for a tricky jump?

Pick a visible mark on the ground before the spike and jump there twice. If both attempts come up short, move your takeoff point a little closer to the spike.
